March 22, Thursday: The first day of the UNLVino event, Bubble-Licious takes place from 7-10 pm at the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center and features a multitude of sparkling wines, champagnes and exotic champagne cocktails paired with food from local restaurants and the culinary creations of award winning chef Alex Stratta.  Tickets cost $100.00 in advance or $125.00 at the door.  For tickets call (702)739-3267 or go to their site at www.unlvino.com.


March 24, Saturday: “Take a sip for scholarship” says UNLVino as they present their 38th grand wine tasting event at the Bally’s Hotel & Casino, from 7-10 pm.  Come taste more than 100 wines and assorted cocktails, sample appetizers prepared by culinary students at UNLV, and enjoy live jazz music druing this grand event for a good cause.  Proceeds go to UNLV.  Cost is $75.00 pre-event and $100.00 at the door.   For tickets call (702)739-3267 or go to their site at www.unlvino.com


March 31, Saturday: New Vista Community hosts Toast to the Town event at the Town Square shopping mall located at 6605 S. Las Vegas Boulevard 89119, from 7:00-10:00 p.m.  Event features wine, beer and cocktails, plus lots of food prepared by local restaurants.  Cost at the door is $60.00 per person at the door and $50.00 pre-event. Proceeds go to the New Vista Charity, which provides training for locals suffering from disabilities. April 14, Saturday:  Rock’n Roll Wine presents an “Wineucopia” from 7:00-10:00 p.m. in the all new M pavillion at the M Resort in Henderson.  The event will feature more than 70 wines from 35 wineries, plus appetizers and the live music of the group Better than Ezra.  The Beso restaurant will also offer special menu items and discounts to those attending the event. April 14, Saturday: New Vista Community hosts Wine Walk at the Town Square shopping mall located at 6605 S. May 5, Saturday:  Simply put, the biggest and best wine tasting of all.  Wine Spectator Magazine presents its annual Grand Tasting, featuring over 200 of the finest wines in the world, including most of the French first growth Bordeaux, such as Chateaux Margaux and Latour.  Also great appetizers and a souvenir Riedel tasting glass.  Event runs from 7-10 pm at the Mirage Hotel & Casino and costs $200.00 per person.  Call 800-374-9000 for tickets or more information, including a full list of participating wineries.

Most Thursdays:  Free wine tastings at Khoury’s Fine Wine & Spirits.  No charge.  Tastings take place from 6:00-8:00 p,m. on Thursdays at the Khoury’s store located at 9915 S. Eastern in Henderson.  Call (702)435-9463 or go to their website at www.khourysfinewine.com for more details.


Most Wednesdays and Fridays:  Wine Styles hosts wine tastings from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at their store located at 4215 S Grand Canyon Drive, Las Vegas, 89147.  Tasting fee usually is $5.00, but check with store for specific cost and wines offered by calling (702)869-9463.


Most Thursdays:  Wine tasting and food sampling at the Les Kincaid radio show from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  Become part of a live radio show with host Les Kincaid, who teaches cooking and wine appreciation at UNLV.  Each week, Les visits a different upscale restaurant where he offers cooking tips and explains why that venue’s food is paired with the wines offered at the event.  Admission costs $20.00.  For more information, visit his website at www.leskincaid.com .

Most Fridays:  Wine tasting from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Double Helix wine bar located on the second floor of the Palazzo Shops between the Venetian and the Palazzo Hotels & Casinos.  The shop features several different wines each Friday with a tasting fee of only $5.00.


Fridays:  Join Rock’n Roll Wine at the Hostile Grape located at M Hotel & Resort for live music from 8:00-10:00, and some wine specials from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
