September 14, Friday: Rock’n Roll Wine presents its annual “Wine Amplified” festival at the Mandalay Beach, featuring the rock band Young the Giant and 150 wines from 50 different wineries. Wine tasting runs from 7-10 pm. VIP tickets include seating with unobstructed view of concert, entrance into the exclusive Moorea Beach Club, with a special menu prepared by celebrity chef Rick Moonen, and select wines. September 1, Saturday: New Vista Community hosts Wine Walk at the The Village at Lake Las Vegas, from 7:00-10:00 p.m. Event features more than 20 different wines from various tasting stations, while strolling through Miralago Village and taking in panoramic views of the Lake. Tickets may be purchased prior to the event or at the door for $25.00 apiece. Proceeds go to the New Vista Charity, which provides training for locals suffering from disabilities. Most Thursdays: Wine tasting and food sampling at the Les Kincaid radio show from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Become part of a live radio show with host Les Kincaid, who teaches cooking and wine appreciation at UNLV. Each week, Les visits a different upscale restaurant where he offers cooking tips and explains why that venue’s food is paired with the wines offered at the event. Admission costs $20.00.
