March 15, Saturday:  Wine Walk, The Big One...Hosted by the Hotel Venetian, DeLuca Liquor & Wines, and Lee’s Discount Liquor, it takes place at the Venetian Hotel between 3-7:00 p.m.  The event will include tasting from more than 75 different wines, live entertainment and appetizers.  A VIP admission will cost $125.00 and include access to premium wines from around the globe, food pairings with wine, and competition for prizes.   At the door of the event tickets will cost $75.00 for general admission and $150.00 for VIP admission. March 26, Wednesday:  Wine dinner at Roy’s, featuring Tobin James wines paired with culinary creations, at 8701 W. Charleston Blvd., Las Vegas.  There will be two dinner times, one at 5:30 and another at 7:00.  Cost, $85.00 per person.  Call (702)838-3620 for details.


March 31, Monday:  Wine dinner at Sunset & Vines, 40 Costa de Lago, Henderson (Lake Las Vegas), featuring the wines of Argentina paired with culinary creations.  The winemaker will attend.  This event will most likely include a four or five course dinner.  Approximate price, $80.00.  The exact time and price were not available when this edition went on-line, so call the restaurant at 702-382-7900  or check their website at www.sunsetvines.com.


April 12, May 3, June 21, August 16, September 13 and October 18:  New Vista Community and the District hosts the Wine Walks for the 2008 season.  Previous held at Lake Las Vegas, the event will include numerous wine tasting stations located in the stores and restaurants at the District Mall located just off the 215 and Green Valley Parkway.  The events will run from 6:30-9:30 p.m. and cost $30.00 per person, $50.00 per couple, or a season pass for $120.00.  For more details go to the website at www.NewVistaCommunity.org, or call (702)457-4677.


May 3, Saturday:  Wine Spectator’s Grand Tasting at the Venetian Hotel.  Premium vintners from around the world will open their wines for tasting.  Some of the finest wine producers from around the world will attend, including many of the First Growth producers from the Bordeaux region of France (ie, Chateaux Lafite Rothschild, Margaux...).  The event also features a grand selection of appetizer foods in buffet style, and souvenir tasting glasses for each visitor.  Cost, $200.00.  For more details go to www.winespectator.com.

Durango, Las Vegas, or at the same time on Thursdays at the Khoury’s store located at 9915 S.
